Location: Norfolk
Project Type: Business Phone System Installation
Services: Business Phones, Managed IT, Office IT Installation
Completed: July 2026
Moving into a new office is an exciting milestone, but it also comes with plenty of challenges. One of the most important is making sure your technology is ready before your team walks through the door.
For this project, we installed and configured a brand-new business phone system for a company preparing to move into their new office. By completing the installation before staff arrived, every desk was equipped with a fully configured handset, allowing the team to get straight to work from day one.
The Challenge
When businesses relocate or expand into new premises, technology can often become an afterthought. Phones, internet connections and networks all need to be in place before the office opens, otherwise even a small delay can disrupt the working day.
The aim of this project was simple: ensure the new office phone system was fully installed, tested and ready before the business moved in.
Our Solution
NodeScape supplied and configured the new business phone handsets, ensuring each workstation was ready to use.
Before leaving site we:
-
Installed each handset in its allocated workspace
-
Configured extensions and user settings
-
Tested connectivity and functionality
-
Confirmed the system was fully operational
By completing everything before the move, staff could simply arrive, pick up the phone and start working.
The Result
The office was handed over with a fully functioning phone system, ready for the business to begin operating immediately.
It's a relatively small project, but these are often the jobs that make the biggest difference. Reliable communication from day one helps businesses settle into their new premises without unnecessary disruption or downtime.
Four Things to Consider Before Moving into a New Office
Whether you're relocating or opening a brand-new workspace, a little planning can save a lot of stress.
1. Plan your technology early
Don't leave phones, Wi-Fi and internet connections until the week before you move. Some services can take longer to install than expected.
2. Think about future growth
Installing equipment for today's team is important, but it's also worth considering where the business might be in a year's time. Planning ahead now can make future expansion much easier.
3. Test everything before staff arrive
There's a huge difference between equipment being installed and equipment being ready to use. Every phone, network connection and service should be tested before the office opens.
4. Work with a trusted IT partner
Moving offices involves enough logistics already. Having someone manage the technology means one less thing to worry about.
